• 32 oz. Beef Broth
  • 1 Large Onion, chopped
  • 3 Stalks of Celery, chopped
  • 6 Medium Tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 Medium Potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 tsp. Pepper
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 10 oz. pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 lb. Round Steak, browned, and cubed
  • 1/2 c. Butter
  • 1/2 c. Flour

  1. Put all ingredients except butter and flour in slow cooker.
  2. Cover. Cook on LOW for 9 hours.
  3. After 9 hours, turn slow cooker to HIGH setting and keep covered.
  4. Make a roux by melting butter in a saucepan over medium heat.  Stir in flour and cook for about 5 minutes, until golden-brown in color.
  5. Pour into slow cooker and stir well to combine.
  6. Cook 15 additional minutes on HIGH.
  7. Serve immediately – enjoy!
