• 3/4 c. short-grain rice
  • 13 1/2 oz. can evaporated milk (skim is fine, 385ml)
  • 2 c. water
  • 1/3 c. white sugar
  • 1/2 c. raisins (optional)
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 (3 inch) cinnamon sticks

  1. Combine all ingredients in slow cooker; stir well.
  2. Cover. Cook on Low for 4 to 5 hours or on High for 2 to 2-1/2 hours.
  3. Stir twice during cooking period.
