Slow Cooker BBQ Pork Chops

  • Cooking Time:

    6 hours
  • Servings:

    8

Ingredients

3 lbs. pork chops (boneless or bone-in)
8 oz. tomato sauce
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. BBQ sauce
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
1 T. malt vinegar
1 T. dijon mustard

I love making pork in the slow cooker because it gets fall-off-the-bone tender.  This recipe for Slow Cooker BBQ Pork Chops is no exception! You will also enjoy the unique flavors in the special sauce – a twist on your typical BBQ sauce.

  1. Coat the inside of a slow cooker with nonstick spray or use a slow cooker liner.
  2. Mix together all the ingredients EXCEPT the pork in a bowl to create sauce.
  3. Layer the pork chops in the crock.
  4. Pour the sauce mixture over the pork chops, making sure all the chops are covered with sauce. (Note: For best results your crock should be 1/2 – 2/3 full.)
  5. Cover & Crock on HIGH for 5-6 hours or until pork chops begin to fall apart.

Happy Crocking!

Hi, I’m pretty new to crock pot cooking. Since this recipe says to cook on high for 6 hours, and I am gone for 8 hours at least, will it burn if I leave it on high for all 8 hours, or should I cook it on low and then turn it up to high when I get home ? Or cook it on high for a couple hours in the morning before I leave for work and then on low the rest of the day? (or just try a different recipe?) 🙂 Thanks!

Can we use apple cider vinegar if we do not have malt vinegar? Should we add something else with the apple cider vinegar if we do not have malt vinegar? Thank you.

I am thinking you could make a great pulled pork with this sauce and pork loin, too! I will try the chops, first. Would the left-overs freeze well? To answer malt vinegar question: http://www.food.com/library/malt-vinegar-630

Hello, I’m in the UK & have tried a couple of your slow cooker recipes and loved them. Could you please tell me how much in weight is equivalent to the cup in this recipe and also does the T stand for tablespoon? Thanks 🙂

I believe Worcestershire sauce has anchovies in it and I am allergic to them. Is there something I can substitute this with as an alternative?

They make a vegan worceshire sauce that has no anchovies 🙂

Since there are only two of us, I bought a four quart slow cooker, and notice that it gets very hot. Think I should turn it on low instead of high?

Just made these for dinner but only had 4 small chops. Put them in my small crockpot and used same amount of sauce…..Delish! Cant stop picking at them. Thank you!

I made this yesterday. It was horrible. The pork was dry and the bbq sauce was watery.

Sounds so yummy! Those potatoes look fantastic too. Do you have a recipe for those by chance?
