I have a question regarding 2 of the ingredients. 1 oz. mushroom (gravy mix or beef gravy mix) — is this a powder or jar gravy?
3/4 c. beef broth (mixed with burgundy wine) — is there a beef broth already mixed with burgundy wine? I couldn’t find this in my supermarket?

I was just wondering if the onion soup was necessary, or is there a substitute that could be used?

I can’t wait to try this!! However I am not a fan of egg noodles.
Is there another pasta you would suggest for this?!
I was thinking maybe the frozen bags of Ramean noodles or Rigatoni noodles.!? Thanks. 🙂

I love Crocking! Even more since I found you. I thought that maybe on the low and slow lvel, if I could add the egg noodles and let the steam and moisture cook them as well. Have you ever tried this? Does it work?

I have made this recipe a few times now and we love it. I double the recipe to better fit my family’s needs of left overs. I also add fresh bell peppers, red and green towards the end and serve over white rice. The noodles just didn’t do it for my husband but I thought it was just as good. Thanks for the great and easy dinner idea! =)

I was wondering about adding fresh carrots into this as well. At what point should they be added, and would it change the cooking time? Thanks in advance – looking forward to trying this!!

I used a jar of gravy instead of a dry mix. Hope this won’t ruin the dish. Will let you know
