Slow Cooker Snow White Cocoa

  • Cooking Time:

    2-3 Hours on LOW
  • Servings:

    10

Ingredients

16 oz. heavy whipping cream
6 c. 2% milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 bag of white chocolate chips (11 - 12 oz.)

One of my favorite things about this time of year is all of the yummy drinks there are to warm us up!  Slow Cooker Snow White Cocoa is one of my favorites. (My daughter named it!) It’s fun for a chilly day and makes enough to serve at family gatherings. Get creative and let the kids pick out their own toppings (ex: peppermint bark, chocolate sprinkles, marshmallows, whip cream, etc.)  Enjoy!

  1. Place all ingredients in the slow cooker.
  2. Crock on LOW for 2-3 hours.
  3. Mix well to blend – the chocolate should be melted.
  4. Use a ladle to pour into mugs.
  5. Top with your choice of treats such as peppermint bark, chocolate sprinkles, marshmallows, whip cream, etc. (not included in nutritional data)

Bwahahahahahahahahahaha! I’m sure the chocolate shavings are much tastier than chipped beef or ham!

OMG, this is awesome, I love it! And you can set out different liquors for adults to mix in what they want! How many does this serve?

I’m not a white chocolate fan. Would milk or dark chocolate be a simple replacement for the white chocolate? Thanks!

Maybe add a few TBSP of real cocoa, replacing bacon/ham chunk ha ha

I wonder if you could use coffee in this?! And what kind of coffee could you use? Like instant coffee or brewed coffee. Just wondering….

If I used brewed coffee, would you put it in right before or during the 2-3 hours, that it’s cooking? Just wondering

Yum!! We made this today using regular choc chips (not a big fan of white chocolate) and it was amazing!! I also only used about 1/4-1/2 as much cream because I wanted to whip the rest of the top and it was still SO rich and good!! Thanks for sharing this recipe!!

I’ve committed to making this for my daughters 4th grade winter party at school. 170 kids. If I use small cups, how much do you think I should make ahead. I’ll have two crock pots on but maybe I should find or two more??
Thanks!

I did NOT like this at all because it was too sweet FOR ME.

BUT….BUT…BUT….BUT…..I made 2 batches for a party since someone was already bringing the traditional cocoa. It was TOTALLY GONE by the end of the party. (I did this LAST YEAR, and have received messages via Facebook and email requesting me to make it again this year.)

Of the people that loved it they were SOOOO thankful they had another option.

All that said give it a go if you are making it for a larger crowd….ya never. 🙂
