Slow Cooker Spaghetti Pie

  • Cooking Time:

    6-8 hours
  • Servings:

    6

Ingredients

8 oz. spaghetti
2 eggs
1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
1 lb. ground beef
32 oz. jar spaghetti sauce
3 c. cottage cheese
4 oz. mozzarella cheese

Slow Cooker Spaghetti Pie is delicious and will have your kids running to the dinner table!  It’s fun and easy!

  1. Boil spaghetti until al dente, about 7 minutes.  Meanwhile, brown the beef, drain, and return to pan.
  2. Next, add sauce to pan, cook on low heat a few minutes.
  3. After spaghetti is done, drain, cut, and add to separate large bowl; add parmesan cheese and beaten eggs and stir to combine.
  4. Next, pour 1/2 c. meat sauce to the bottom of the crock. Layer 1/2 pasta, 1/2 cottage cheese, 1/2 meat sauce, 1/2 mozzarella. Repeat layers.
  5. Cover and Crock on LOW 6-8 hours.

Optional: (Not Shown) I like to use some of the meat sauce warmed up and poured over top, with a sprinkle of Mozzarella Cheese.

Hi ! I absolutely LOVE your recipes on here! And now on with my question, can I replace cottage cheese with something else…? Maybe ricotta? My family of course hates the thought of cottage cheese! So picky.. lol thanks!

I added onion and minced garlic to the ground beef. I broke the pasta up before boiling to make it easier to handle. I added Italian seasoning and garlic powder to the cottage cheese and used about half of what the recipe calls for. My family is not a fan of either cottage or ricotta cheeses. I doubled the amount of mozzarella. Thanks for the recipe idea!

This looks sooo yummy! However, I just looked at the sodium content!! Yikes! What modifications could I make to cut this down? I’d really like to try it!
