Cooking Time:6 hours
Ingredients1 1/3 c. dry old-fashioned rolled oats
2 1/2 c. plus 1 T. water
dash of salt
- Mix together oats, water and salt in slow cooker.
- Cover. Cook on Low 6 hours.
Note: The recipe is this: for one serving, use 1/3 cup dry oats and 2/3 cup water, plus a few grains salt. Miltiply by the number of servings you need.
Variation: Before cooking, stir in raisins and/or a few chopped dates for each serving.

I make mine in a Minnie cooker use 3/4 quwters cup to two cups water ith 4 equal packs and cook on warm over night if to watery in morning turn to low for about 30 min
If I wanted to add brown sugar how much would you recommend?
Hi Corley, I would sprinkle it on the top, and not cook it in the recipe, that way you can control the sweetness you desire! Happy Crocking!
Can milk be used instead of water?
