Slow Cooker Oats

  • Cooking Time:

    6-7 hours for firm, and 8 hours for soft
  • Servings:

    6

Ingredients

1 c. oats, steel cut
3 1/2 c. water
1 c. apple, peeled, chopped
1/2 c. raisins
2 T. butter
1 T. cinnamon, ground
2 T. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Slow Cook­er Oats is a HEALTHY choice for a good warm break­fast to serve to your fam­i­ly.

  1. Com­bine the steel cut oats, water, apple, raisins, but­ter, cin­na­mon, brown sug­ar, and vanil­la extract into a slow cook­er.
  2. Stir to mix and dis­solve the sug­ar.
  3. Cov­er. Cook on Low for 6 to 7 hours (for firm oats) or 8 hours (for soft­er tex­ture).
