Many of you know that I recently had a baby – my son Maverick was born on 12/22/13 (joining big sis Bali, 5) and I received one of the most unique baby gifts – a Baby Box! What is a Baby Box? Well, after doing a little research I learned that all new moms in Finland receive a Baby Box from the government. It serves as baby’s first sleeping place and is filled with items that help baby get a safe & healthy start to life. A few fabulous women in the US fell in love with this concept after hearing that the Finnish government actually sent a Baby Box to Prince William and Princess Kate. They brought the idea to the U.S. and The Baby Box Co. was launched!

The Baby Box I received included the box, a mattress, cotton sheet, “green” laundry detergent, pacifiers, mittens, onesies, socks, aden + anais swaddle blanket, the cutest baby hat and other goodies.
