Slow Cooker Apple Butter Ribs

3 lbs Pork Ribs, any style
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp. pep­per
1 Medi­um Yel­low Onion, chopped
1 c. Apple But­ter
1/4 c. Packed Brown Sug­ar
1 T. Liq­uid Smoke
1 T. Minced Gar­lic

Wait till you taste the fla­vor of Slow Cook­er Apple But­ter Ribs! YUM!

  1. Rub salt and pep­per on ribs.
  2. Place onions in a 6-quart slow cook­er.
  3. Put ribs on top of onions.
  4. Mix remain­ing ingre­di­ents and pour in the slow cook­er.
  5. Cov­er. Cook on low for 7 hours.

I made this last night and wow! So good! The only thing I did dif­fer­ent­ly was instead of using ribs I used a bone in pork shoul­der and turned it into pulled pork. Every­thing else was the same! A few tips, I did this cause I dont like real­ly super fatty/oily pulled pork: When you go to remove the bone from the shoul­der roast (about 5 hours in), go ahead and pull apart some of the meat and the larg­er fat­ty pieces should come off and you can go ahead and toss that out.
