Slow Cooker Green Chili Pork

Ingredients

3 lbs pork (bone­less, cubed)
1 T. oil
1 onion (chopped)
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. oregano
1 c. chick­en broth
4 oz. green chilies (diced)
16 oz. toma­toes (mex­i­can-style)
2 cloves gar­lic (minced)
salt
pep­per

Slow Cook­er Green Chili Pork is a fam­i­ly favorite, and makes great sand­wich­es!

  1. Brown pork cubes in oil.
  2. Add onions and cook until they are ten­der.
  3. Place pork and onions in slow cook­er, and add remain­ing ingre­di­ents.
  4. Cov­er. Cook on Low until pork is ten­der, about 8 hours.
  5. With a large spoon, stir the mix, break­ing the pork into large shreds by press­ing the meat cubes against the side of the slow cook­er.

I found your recipe on Pin­ter­est. I’m kind of suprised no one has com­ment­ed on it yet. I did make this tonight. I did make a few changes as I was short on time & also have a tod­dler who is eat­ing with us. I used a 16oz can of green enchi­la­da sauce instead of tomatillo’s & left out the diced chili’s & gar­lic & it turned out great! Thanks!!!
