Ingredients1 uncooked piecrust
1 c. sugar
2/3 c. dark Karo syrup
1 c. pecans, broken up
1/2 c. margarine, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
A favorite of our family for many holidays, and sometimes we make it “just because!” Slow Cooker Pecan Pie is rich and so delicious.
- Spray the slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. (If you use a slow cooker liner, spray the liner as well)
- Place uncooked, prepared pie crust in the slow cooker and press up the sides about 1/2 inch. (Note: You can buy the prepared pie crust from the refrigerated section of your grocery, prepare from a boxed mix or use homemade pie crust of your choice.)
- Combine the remaining ingredients in a medium bowl until well mixed.
- Pour and spread evenly over the pie crust.
- Cover. Cook on for 2 to 3 hours on High.

NOTE: To make your pie a little more healthy…. substitute sugar with honey (1/2 – 3/4 cup)!
What do you mean by mixed pie crust?
Hi Kellie – I use a boxed pie crust for this recipe, like this one. So you will want to prepare the pie crust according to the directions on the box before putting in the crock. Thanks for your question – it is a little unclear in my instructions and I will update the recipe. Happy Crocking!
What size slow cooker do you use? When I bake pecan pies they ususally come out hard and crusty, is this one moist?
Hi Alice, because it is basically cooked by steam rather than like in an oven. It will be moist! I use my 4 – 4 1/2 quart slow cooker.. 🙂
Can you use light karo syrup instead of dark? Its all I have.
Yes Amber you can, if will have a slight different taste, but it will still crock fine.. Enjoy and Happy Crocking!

I just got this pecan pie in my crock pot. Can’t wait to see how it comes out. I’ve thought about this a lot and wondered if I should only partially cover since my Ninja 3 in 1 generates a whole lot of steam. Wondering if it will be pecan pie soup?
Do you scoop it out to serve. If so how do you store leftovers it TV you have any
Hi Kathleen, I just take a pie server, and scoop it out. I would store left overs in refrigerator, and if you like it warm place in microwave for a few seconds. Enjoy!
i have a 7qt crock pot. any changes?
You may need to double this recipe in a 7 qt slow cooker Nancy. Rule of thumb is for your slow cooker to be 1/2 to 2/3 full to crock properly. Enjoy!

If you buy a prepared refrigerated pie crust they usually come in a pie tin, would you take the crust out of the tin or leave it in to cook?? Thank you
Pillsbury makes a refrigerated pie crust that comes in a box (2 pie crusts). It is usually found by the eggs in my grocery store. I think it’s fabulous!
Or check by the refrigerated cookie doughs!
