- Grease a 4 Quart slow cooker with salted butter and transfer ingredients from bowl to the slow cooker.
- Cover and Cook on Low for 6 to 7 hours or on High for 4 hours or until cauliflower is softened.
Optional: Garnish with crisp bacon pieces on top when serving.

I don’t have fennel, can you suggest another option?
I have heard that some substitute anise seeds for fennel seeds, but since it is a small amount, I don’t think it will make that big of a difference if you don’t add it. I know I am a stickler for all the ingredients, but have to say once in a while I do skip an ingredient if I don’t have it. Thanks for the question, and Happy Crocking!
I feel like I’m missing something here. How large is each serving size? If that is posted can you help me locate it so I know where to look in the future? Thanks! 🙂
Hi Heather it will serve 12, but I only made half when I made this recipe, as we only have three in our family, plus our baby. 🙂
