Sadly, my mother is no longer with us, but I have many happy memories of her and her wonderful cooking. She could take almost any ingredients and turn out a tasty meal. My brothers and sister and I all ate vegetables, primarily because she cooked them to perfection! Her baking was legendary.
My Mom has been there for me throughout all my life. I was very sick as a child – I had a rare progressive disease that, at times, I was nearly non-functional. Years later, my husband was diagnosed with Cancer. She was there for us throughout all treatments. He only lived 20 months. I have a very close relationship with my Mom & I’m thankful for we have the relationshipship we do.
In 2009 I lost my job because of the economy. My mother moved in with me so she could help me with my bills so I would not lose my home. I have 9 dogs, 3 cats, a bird, a donkey and 29 chickens and she knew there was no where that I could go unless I got rid of all of them. She is the best and sacrificed so much for me and I love her.
My mother is a fabulous cook! A mother of 8 married children with 15 grand kids. She is a stay @ home wife to a farmer. She would love this crockpot to cook with and get to see wonderful family pictures on! Such a fun idea! Hope she wins it 🙂
My mom lives a four flight plus a three hour drive away from us. She lives by herself and works very hard. She manages to save up her money to visit us whenever she can. She would love to see her eight grand kids more than she can and what better way than with a fantastic crock pot!
Loves her children unconditionally!
What’s not to love about my Mom? She is amazing. My Mom puts the needs of everyone before her own. She is my best friend, mentor, nurse, babysitter and many more. I am so amazingly blessed to have her be my Mom and as a guide through this crazy life!
Thank you for hosting this give away. My crock pot is one of my two favorite kitchen utensils (My cast iron skillet is the other one).
My mother is the best. She’s kind, sweet, outgoing and dependable. I can go to her for anything. We always have a wonderful time together. I love talking to her and sharing my stories with her. I would be insanely lost without her. I’m very blessed to have her. I’m thankful everyday! I love her for eternity!
My mother despite all her health issues (physical and mental) still means the world to me. At times, she is very hard to deal with and can go from super nice to out of hand in a second but it changes nothing. I may get upset and irritated at times with her actions but I remember how she was before she was faced with all these problems and she was a loving, and fun woman. She was always there (even when I didn’t want her to be) and she will always be. I haven’t seen her in almost 3 years… Read more »
This would make a great way to honor my Mother! Since her passing of ALS, all I have are the memories of being in the kitchen with her. We would cook side by side & talk. She was amazing, fought ALS with dignity, and taught by being the best role model.
My Mom is special to me because she took care of 8 kids and our Dad and maybe we didn’t have much but we always has a great tasting and filling meals (sure didn’t know we were poor) Always remember my Mom using a crockpot to make supper year round. Hot hearty meals in the winter and great meals in the summer that didn’t heat up the house. I’m on my 2nd crockpot now after 16 years of marriage and thankfully my family enjoys crockpot meals too.
i never understood how hard life was on my mom as a military wife with 3 young kids while my dad was constantly deployed until i became a mom and military wife with 5 young kids while their dad is contstanly deployed. i love her for being both mom and ‘dad’ to my sisters and i for so many years and for being such a strong independent woman
I have the best Mother in law! She is so sweet and smart and loving. She always goes out of her way for others and puts herself last. Her unwavering dedication and love for her family shines through in everything she touches. She has amazing recipes that have been handed down from generations. She would thoroughly enjoy and take great pleasure in having a personalized Crock-Pot® Create-a-Crock™ Slow Cooker. The joy and smile on her face seeing the personalized crock pot with pictures of her grandchildren and family would bring tears to my eyes. It is something she would treasure… Read more »
Best mom and mother in law. They’ve both shown me how to be the same.
My mom has always been consistent and focused. It was just the two of us growing up and she did an excellent job of providing for us! I’ve grown to appreciate her and all she did now, especially as she enjoys spoiling her grandchildren. My Mommie rocks!!!
I would love to give this to my Mom, she has been there for me whenever needed, and she is the reason that me and my children are alive today. She has given me more than I can ever repay her for and I am very grateful and thankful for her.
My mom always try’s to see the best in everyone,
I can honestly tell you that even if my Mom wasn’t my Mom, I’d want her in my life as my friend, mentor, etc. She is the most well-rounded woman I know….intelligent, thoughtful and honest, etc. I just cannot say enough about her. I realize, the older we both get, how much I truly and deeply love and appreciate her. She has meant so much to so many, not just her children, but to all those that needed a Mother figure and friend. My Mom is in Michigan and I’m in Florida. Even though we are in touch daily, I… Read more »
What I love most about my Mom? The fact that when I adopted two children she supported me. She was right by my side when I found out my adopted son would pass away before his fifth birthday. She held me as I held him as he took his last breath. Unconditional love <3
My mom is the best as well as my BFF. IT was always just the two of us while I was growing up. She always put me first and I would love to give her this awesome crock pot as a small thank you for all she did for me through the years!
I love my mom for many reason but most of all she is my mom and is always there when I need her. She has helped me on so many things with my daughter. Where would we a be if we didn’t have a mom figure in our lives. Moms are the best and I hope some day my daughter will say the same thing about me.
My Mother passed away February 11th 2014 so this will be my first Mother’s Day without her. 🙁 She was a Great Mother and the last thing she said to me was “I Love You” and she sure did!! I was so lucky to have her for my Mother! I miss her and talk to her every day!
My mom is very generous , loving and caring. At time you thing she is super mom. She the words greats mom
My mom is a very loving, giving and caring person.
She had always helped anyone in need that she came in contact with. She helps provide food to local homeless people and donated to local charities for the homeless. She is and has always been a loving mother. Everyone loves her and calls her mom. I love her with all my heart and would love for her to have a new crockpot.
There are not enough words to describe why I love my mom or what makes her special. I am the kind of mother to my children due to the values she installed in me. Thank you Mom. I love you!!
My mom passed away in 1982, she had ovarian cancer, and she wanted to pass away at home peacefully. We could do this because we had two nurses in the family, but to give the nurses a break we needed folks to take 8 hour shifts to help us all out. My stepmother stepped up to the plate and took shifts like my mom’s sisters and sister in laws. It helped that, believe it or not, my mom and step mom had become good friends, yes it made interesting holidays. On the day she passed my step mom was there,… Read more »
My mom is my best friend. She has always stood behind me and encouraged me. She was even my matron of honor at my wedding.
My Mom is the most amazing person I know! As a young adult we weren’t very close. As I’ve my matured and had my own little ones, we’ve grown close. She raised 4 girls all on her own and I promise you we were a handful! She’s had a rough few years- diagnosed with breast cancer after 20 years of being cancer free. She’s doing well now but I don’t know what I would do without her guidance and support. Even when we weren’t so close! She’s an amazing grandmother, attends every sporting event and school program. I’m sure we… Read more »
My Mom is in heaven. She was an amazing cook and loved her crockpot! She overcame many difficulties in her 85 years. What an amaIng, beautiful woman she was! I miss her and wish I could tell her I love her again.
My mom is very kind. She is the best grandma and I am so happy we get to live a few blocks away. She makes yummy food and is always willing to help me with anything I ask.
My mother taught me to live myself, before anyone else could. Took years to figure it out, but very good to know!
My mom is not just my mother, she is my friend, my confidante, my teacher, my everything. I honestly do not know what I would do without her. Oh and btw, at 70 yrs old she is Adam Levine’s biggest fan LOL…she is too much and I love her for it lol.
My mother taught me to crochet. Something I still do today. She used to massage my feet after my cross country practices and events. She also sent daily letters when I was in Army training. Lots of lovely memories.
Funnily enough my favorite memory with my mother is the time she wrecked our van on vacation by side-swiping a tourism tram. There’s no way she should’ve not seen the large, red train car, but she says she didn’t and her efforts to unstick our van from the side only made it worse until we’d gone from a fender bender to missing a door and having every panel on the van damaged. To this day I’m not sure how she accomplished so much damage in so little a timeframe. It was hilarious, though a tad nerve wracking, but a memory… Read more »
My mom loves to use her crockpot. She also loves to bake, and she always took time to show us how she made our favorites. I know she looks forward to doing the same with our kids/grandchildren.
When I moved away, I knew I would miss things my mom did but surprisingly I actually miss her food! My husband doesn’t quite like it when I try to make food like her (burn the crap out of it!).
My mom is the strongest and most loving woman I know. She puts everyone before herself and never asks for anything. I would give her the world if I could but I’m still a full time college student so that’s not possible at the moment. She was abandoned on the street at the age of three by her biological mother and separated from her twin sister when she was adopted by a caring, loving, mom of 4. That loving mom of 4 (my grandmother) is where she gets her strength and courage from. Sadly she lost her father (my grandfather)… Read more »
What do I love about my Mom? Everything. 🙂 Best Mom ever. Always there for support and love when I was a child, and now as an adult. Perfect role model. Did it all Took care of us. Great cook. Housekeeper. Confidante Made a happy home for 7 children and managed to work outside the home. Wisdom and moral teacher. You name it. Mom did it, and did it well!
My Mom is in Heaven. I miss her very much. She taught me all I know about cooking! Every time I make a dish from her recipes she left me. I know she is happy I can forward them on to my kids.
i love my mom
SUPPORTIVE ~ loving my dad (her husband), partnering with him in raising 3 children, caring for the elderly that were in her life, supporting me and my husband through the loss of our first child, through my open heart surgery, for wanting the best for her grandchildren, and cheering us on in all we do. She continues to do for others even though she lives every day in pain. There’s not enough room to share all that needs to be said…she loves the Lord and loves us!
My mom is an absolutely amazing woman. She is such a hard worker. Every morning before she goes to work she has to cook my family breakfast and than bring a plate over to my sick grandmother, than she goes to work (she works as a cook at ashook) she cooks for over 100s of kids, get out of work cooks dinner, bring my nana a plate, gets her ready for bed and gets her meds togetHer. She is always a hard worker, and does everything for everyone else but herself. She would love this slowcooker as she ddoesn’t own… Read more »
I would love this!
Time for a new crockpot. I’ve worn out 2 so far. It would be a Blesses Mothers Day to be picked for this new one. I love your page and the recipes you present. Thank you.
My mom helps out a lot with all of her grandkids. I don’t know what my siblings and I would do without her.
My 85 year old mom helps watch my 3 overly rambunctious kids while I work and gets teary eyed telling me how much she loves them as she’s leaving. She insisted on staying right by my side in the hospital when I broke my leg some years back. I love her!
My mom is always there for me. No matter how big or how small the problem. Even in the times we were not speaking I called her in need and she came to my rescue! She is truly my super hero! I Love you Mom <3
She was my mentor, my friend, raised my son up for me while I worked, everyone’s friend. Even her nurses and Doctors. She’s my everything. Every life she touched she left a huge impression. And she did this on her own as a single parent. I miss her so much. <3
My mom is not just a mom, she’s also a friend. Someone to laugh with and cry with who is always there when she’s needed.
