Slow Cooker Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin

2–3 lb. Pork Ten­der­loin
One Yel­low Onion, Sliced
12 pieces, Cooked Bacon
12 oz. Cola
8 oz. jug Johnny’s Slow Cook­er for Beef Con­cen­trate Sauce, divid­ed

Every­thing is bet­ter with BACON and this deli­cious slow cooked pork ten­der­loin is no excep­tion.  Serve over rice with your favorite green veg­eta­bles.

Update — if you are unable to find Johnny’s Slow Cook­er for Beef Con­cen­trate Sauce you can sub­sti­tute the Johnny’s French Dip Con­cen­trate. Sor­ry for any incon­ve­nience — it looks like the Slow Cook­er for Beef Con­cen­trate is cur­rent­ly only avail­able in cer­tain mar­kets.

  1. Place onions and then pork in a 4 — 5 Quart Crock-Pot® Slow Cook­er.
  2. Pour half of the Johnny’s Slow Cook­er for Beef Con­cen­trate Sauce over pork.
  3. Lay slices of cooked bacon across pork.
  4. Pour Cola over top of meat then remain­ing half of the Johnny’s Slow Cook­er for Beef Con­cen­trate Sauce
  5. Cov­er & Cook on LOW for 4 Hours or until pork reach­es an inter­nal temp of 145°
  6. Remove pork ten­der­loin from slow cook­er (reserve juices) and let sit for 3 min­utes before slic­ing.
  7. Serve pork over rice and spoon sauce from slow cook­er over top.

Are there any sug­gest­ed sub­sti­tutes for the Coke and “Johnny’s Slow Cooker…sauce”? I don’t drink soda because of the garbage in it so I don’t want to cook with it and I have no idea what the sauce is. Nev­er heard of it. I love the idea of the bacon and pork togeth­er but would pre­fer a “healthy” alter­na­tive than soda. Thanks


I’ve nev­er heard of Johnny’s Slow cook­er sauce. where can I find it?

I found the John­nys FRENCH DIP CONCENTRATE as well as John­nys BEEF GRAVY Con­cen­trate, both in the 8 oz jugs at my local Kroger, but noth­ing specif­i­cal­ly referred to as “Johnny’s Slow Cook­er for Beef Con­cen­trate.” Notably, it’s also not list­ed on their web­site. Would either of the one’s I did find work????


Johnny’s French Dip Sauce which is sim­i­lar: Hydrolyzed Veg­etable Pro­tein (Corn, Soy, Wheat), Yeast Extract, Salt, Rice Flour, Monosodi­um Glu­ta­mate, Par­tial­ly Hydro­genat­ed Veg­etable Oil (Soy & Cot­ton­seed), Caramel Col­or, Whey Solids, Non-Fat Milk Solids, Mono & Diglyc­erides. Con­tains: Soy, Wheat & Milk.

Ingre­di­ents on Johnny’s For Slow Cook­er:

Water, Hydrolyzed veg­etable pro­tein (corn, soy wheat), red wine vine­gar, toma­to paste, Worces­ter­shire sauce( vine­gar, molasses, high fruc­tose corn syrup, anchovies, water, hydrolyzed soy and corn pro­tein, onion, tamarind, salt, gar­lic, cloves, chili pep­per, nat­ur­al fla­vor, shal­lots), date paste, nat­ur­al fla­vor, yeast extract, onion juice, salt, guar gum, sodi­um ben­zoate, gar­lic juice, sug­ar, corn syrup solids, spice.


I can’t find either John­ny prod­ucts. Any idea for replace­ments?


I am in Cana­da and can find it! I used Johnny’s Beef Au Jus. Just put it in the slow cook­er now so hope­ful­ly it will be fine. It is on the very bot­tom shelf in our gro­cery store in the bak­ing lane so you may have to do some search­ing for it.
