Slow Cooker Drunken Chicken

    5–7 hours
  • Servings:

    4–6

Ingredients

4 — 6 chick­en breast, bone­less, skin­less
2 T. but­ter
10 3/4 oz. soup, cream of chick­en, canned
1/2 c. white cook­ing wine
1 tsp. rose­mary
1/4 tsp. gar­lic pow­der
4 oz. mush­rooms, sliced, drained (option­al)

Slow Cook­er Drunk­en Chick­en is so deli­cious and moist not to men­tion sim­ple and a favorite when served with mashed pota­toes and a sal­ad!

  1. Rinse chick­en and pat dry — place in slow cook­er.
  2. Mix remain­ing ingre­di­ents and pour over chick­en breasts.
  3. Cov­er. Cook on Low for 5 to 7 hours.

i am mak­ing this din­ner for my two 3-year-old girls, who don’t like mush­rooms. i’m going to add car­rots and broc­coli instead (which they love). any advice about adapt­ing the recipe? or should i fol­low the same instruc­tions with dif­fer­ent veg­eta­bles? thanks for your help!

I have made this sev­er­al times now and it is always a hit with my hus­band. I have also made it for some guests and they loved it, too. The only changes that I make are these: I sprin­kle the chick­en breasts with papri­ka to give them some brown col­or. I also use Healthy Request Cream of Chick­en Soup because it has low­er sodi­um. I use Marsala cook­ing wine. It gives it a rich taste. Thank you for shar­ing a great recipe.
