**Slow Cooker Sliced Baked Apples

Slow Cooker Baked Sliced Apples

  • Cooking Time:

    4–6 hours
  • Servings:

Ingredients

3–1/2 c. apples, (cored, peeled and thick­ly sliced)
1/4 c. raisins
1/4 c. splen­da (or white sug­ar)
1–1/2 tsps. apple pie spice
2 T. apple juice, unsweet­ened
1 T. but­ter

Slow Cook­er Baked Sliced Apples is a deli­cious side or even dessert for any meal, and the kid­dos will love it!

  1. Spray a slow cook­er con­tain­er with cook­ing spray or use a slow cook­er lin­er.
  2. Com­bine apples and raisins in crock.
  3. Add Splen­da, apple pie spice, and apple juice.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Dot top with but­ter.
  6. Cov­er. Cook on Low for 4–6 hours.

Do you rec­om­mend any sub­sti­tute or the raisins?

I was think­ing of just leav­ing the raisins out or adding craisins instead.

How can this have so much sug­ar when using Splen­da? I know there is nat­ur­al sug­ar in apples and the raisins are added sug­ar, but 49 g. seems like an awful lot! (And, 64 carbs?!)

I made a mis­take and but it on high and it turned into apple sauce but the best apple sauce I ever ate!!!!
While it was hot I put some on Pump­kin ice cream 🙂
