1 bell pepper, red, cut into 1-inch pieces
2 lb. pork loin, boneless, cut into 1-inch pieces
3 T. packed brown sugar

1/2 tsp. sesame oil
Garnish with green onions, optional

When you are looking for a Delicious recipe, you must make Slow Cooker Delicious Sweet and Sour Pork. The pineapple mixed wth all the spices is simply devine!

  1. Drain pineapple chunks and reserve juice.
  2. Refrigerate pineapple chunks until ready to use.
  3. In a 4 quart slow cooker, combine carrot, onion, red bell pepper, and pork.
  4. In a bowl, stir together the reserved pineapple juice, brown sugar, rice vinegar, tomato paste, tapioca, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, salt, and sesame oil.
  5. Pour over the vegetables and pork.
  6. Cover. Cook on Low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
  7. Stir in reserved pineapple chunks.
  8. Taste for seasoning, adding additional salt if needed.

NOTE: I used both red and green peppers for added color.

Great served over rice or noodles, along side steamed broccoli. YUM!

Hi. . . This recipe sounds delicious! Since I’m a Jew, keep kosher, do you know if this would work with chicken or beef?

I’m sure this is a weird question, but I only have a 5qt slow cooker, and the recipe states I should use a 4qt. Will I get similar results with my 5qt?

A mortar & pestle would work to crush tapioca. A coffee grinder would also do it.

It looks like there are green onions in the picture, but I don’t see green onions in the ingredients…? Is the picture a true reflection of what this should look like?

Mine turned out very soupy…more like a stew. It looks nothing like the picture : (
