Slow Cooker Mint Butter Wafers

  • Cooking Time:

    30 minutes
  • Servings:

    5 dozen

Ingredients

2 T. but­ter
1/4 c. milk
1 pkg. white frost­ing mix (dry)
3 drops pep­per­mint fla­vor­ing

Slow Cook­er Mint But­ter Wafers are great to make for Baby Show­ers, Wed­ding Show­ers or any Hol­i­day!

  1. Melt but­ter and milk togeth­er in a cov­ered crock on high. Stir­ring fre­quent­ly! Approx­i­mate­ly 20 — 30 min­utes.
  2. Stir in frost­ing and cook 1–2 min­utes more.
  3. Add fla­vor­ing.
  4. Turn crock to Low and drop by tea­spoon­fuls onto waxed paper.

OPTIONAL: You can use food col­or­ing if you’d like to pret­ty these up.

Is this some­thing you should use the stove for ? It does­nt sound like I would need the crock­pot for this???

I tried this on Christ­mas Eve and they failed mis­er­ably. I used Jiffy choco­late dry frost­ing mix and I even used the crock pot. All I got was hot liq­uid. Even put them in the fridge, and all I got was a gooey sub­stance. Nev­er end­ed up look­ing like the pic­ture. Any sug­ges­tions?
