Slow Cooker Granola Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients

4 apples, medi­um-sized, peeled and sliced
1/4 c. hon­ey or brown sug­ar
1 tsp. cin­na­mon
2 T. but­ter, melt­ed
2 c. gra­nola cere­al
1/4 c. water

Slow Cook­er Gra­nola Break­fast Casse­role is one of the recipes from my eBook, but I want­ed to share with all of you to give you an idea of the great recipes, tips & tricks to slow cook­ing in my eBook!

  1. Spray your slow cook­er or a lin­er with non-stick cook­ing spray.
  2. Place apples in the slow cook­er and mix in remain­ing ingre­di­ents.
  3. Cov­er & Crock on Low for 7–9 hours (overnight).
  4. Serve with milk and add  (option­al) raisins, craisins, dates or dried fruit of your choice!

I tried it… I dou­bled it as rec­om­mend­ed for larg­er crock-pots. That was a good idea. It was a bit tart. I was think­ing that it might come out like apple pie. I would switch from hon­ey to sug­ar and maybe add a bit of water. It cooked it over night and I think it needs a stir after a cou­ple of hours. That might have pre­vent­ed some burn­ing on the edges.

That is sooo deli­cious!! Made it over night with my timer clock and it turned out fan­tas­tic! I used self­made crock­pot gra­nola with alot of good stuff in it, also dried figs.…hmmm.…and served it warm with milk when my Mom came over to break­fast this morn­ing. We loved it and we were filled for hours. Thank for that great and easy recipe! ♥
