Cooking Time:3-4 hours
Ingredients16 oz. Lump Crab Meat
2 c. Milk
2 c. Half & Half
3 T. Unsalted Butter
Zest of 1/2 Lemon
1 T. Minced Onion
Dash of Paprika
1/2 tsp. Nutmeg
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. White Pepper
2 T. Sherry

- Combine all ingredients EXCEPT sherry in a 6-Quart Slow Cooker. Stir well.
- Cover. Cook on Low for 3 to 4 hours.
- Just before serving, stir in sherry. Serve with saltine crackers, if desired.

Hi Jaime! The cooking time will stay the same, but the size of the crock pot would change. Rule of thumb in crocking in each crock pot is that it should be 1/2 – 2/3 full to crock properly. Thanks for the question, and Happy Crocking!
What is ground mace? Is there something I could use in place, something similar in flavor? Could I leave it out? Thank you
Yes Ally there is a substitute for mace, and that would be nutmeg, something most of us have on our shelves all the time. Good question, and I will modify the recipe so others will know as well. Happy Crocking!
