Frozen or canned vegetables?
Frozen biscuits or pop-n-fresh biscuits?
Hi Katie, the recipe calls for can f vegetables, and the biscuits that cook in just a few minutes in the oven! Happy Crocking!
I ended up using frozen cause that what I had and I didn’t notice that it called for canned until it was too late. I seem to have more filling than biscuit. Am I suppose to put 238g of just filing or filling and biscuit?
Can you use boneless chicken breasts instead of thighs. My husband doesn’t like dark meat. If so would the cooking time be different or the same??
Good question, I was wondering the same thing .
Are breasts okay to use?
Hi Connie, you can use breasts with this recipe. I know Mat likes the thighs as he says it gives it more flavor.
what do you do if you can’t find cream of broccoli soup?
I have used cream of celery and cream of mushroom soup in place of the cream of broccoli before! Enjoy!
Do you drain the cans of vegetables before adding them?
Kelly this is a good question. I do believe it depends on the slow cooker. I would drain the cans separately in bowls, and pour in the vegetables, and if you feel you need more liquid you will still have it available to add if needed. Hope this helps and Happy Crocking!
Do you have a similar recipe that actually uses fresh ingredients instead of mixing together a whole bunch of prepared items?
I think the photo looks delicious – but I never buy canned soup and I never buy canned vegetables. I don’t want all those extra chemicals.
Thanks for your help
Hello Jane, You can use this same recipe only using your fresh ingredients, and I am sure you will love it! Happy Crocking!
just purchased your crock pot email book for $7.50 but cannot find it.
Hello Elaine, I just sent it to your e-mail address! Happy Crocking!
Hello! Excited to try this tomorrow…but I was going to use a bag of frozen veggies. How early would I put those veggies in? Still around 45 mins before eating? Thanks in advance 🙂
It also depends on how you like your veggies, if you like them a little crunchy or softer! Enjoy!
do add the water for all the cream of soups or just the soups ?
Just the soup Carrie! Enjoy and Happy Crocking!
